Q: People associate BAAS with precision and reliability. What are three words that describe your workday?
Peter: Coffee, planning, and a lot of communication. (laughs) But seriously – every day is a mix of detailed work, searching for new solutions, and constant fine-tuning to make sure everything runs within hundredths of a millimetre.

Q: You manufacture precision parts and custom-built special machines. What do you see as the key?
Jozef: The combination of things. Technology, experience, people. And mainly the fact that we still enjoy it. We’ve been doing this for over 25 years, and it still makes sense to us. Every new project is a challenge – and at the same time a commitment to deliver quality we can stand behind.

Q: If you had to compare BAAS to a machine, what would it be?
Peter: Maybe Swiss watches – but with proper Slovak character (laughs). Precise, reliable, yet flexible when needed. We can work systematically, but when things get tough, we can be a real turbine.

Q: How do you approach innovation?
Jozef: Innovation for us isn’t a project, but everyday practice. We follow new technologies, invest in machines and people, learn from our customers and from our own mistakes. And when something doesn’t exist on the market – we build it ourselves.
